Despite the progress that’s been made, the simple act of holding hands in public can still be problematic for LGBTIQ+ couples. So, to mark eleven years of support for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, ANZ Bank launched a fully integrated sponsorship campaign tackling this problem head on. #HOLDTIGHT sparked a global conversation about equality with the most basic gesture of affection.
The campaign went on to win multiple Cannes Lions including a coveted Film Lion and D&AD pencil.
