Too Powerful for TV - Volkswagen Amarok.
Turns out, Australia has some of the most austere automotive advertising laws in the world. Which sucks when you’re trying to show-off the power of the Volkswagen Amarok, the most powerful ute in the country. What’s worse, our media spend paled in comparison to our competitors, which meant we needed more than just ‘an ad’. So, we created ‘Too Powerful For TV’, a campaign that replaced contentious demonstrations of power with workarounds, to show, but at the same time, not show, what the Amarok was capable of - flouting strict advertising guidelines. And we almost got away with it.
The TPFTV campaign was awarded multiple times across shows like AWARD and AdStars, and earned itself a Cannes Lions shortlist in Direct.
